The Joyce Theater continues their successful dance season with the award-winning tap dance company, Dorrance Dance.

The Joyce Theater Foundation has announced the return of Dorrance Dance to Chelsea’s home for dance. The extended two-week engagement will play The Joyce Theater from December 7-18. 

MCC Theater announced today their 2021 Alumni Fellows, as well as their new education initiatives, restructured for the Covid-19 era in order to continue to serve their Youth Company students throughout the pandemic and uphold their mission.

Performed back to back, alternating each night, writer and performer Lee Harrington presents Jellybean, and actress Vickie Tanner will present Running Into Me. On theme, a special screening of Alyson Cornyn's documentary Incorrigibles will take place January 24, followed by a panel discussion. The She Stands Alone series brings audiences on a roller coaster ride of tragedy, triumphs, grace, and coming of age despite unbelievable circumstances.

On September 15-23, 2016, the fifth annual Brooklyn Emerging Artists in Theater (BEAT) Festival will take place, showcasing Brooklyn's most exciting crop of local theater, dance, and voice talent, performing in unique locations borough-wide.

The Farm Theater will present a special two-day presentation of Vickie Tanner's solo show, Running Into Me, directed by Padraic Lillis, on Tuesday, March 29 at 3pm and 7pm and Wednesday, March 30 at 7pm at The NuBox Theatre at the John DeSotelle Studio (300 West 43rd Street, 3rd Floor). The Farm Theater announces their 2016 season, which will include six new installments of the popular bi-monthly Bullpen Sessions, workshops on play development and auditing for grad school, the College Collaboration Project with playwright Micheline Auger at the University of West Florida and Centre College in KY, the Barnstorming Project with playwright Christopher Gabriel Núñez and the Maryland Area Community College Performing Arts Collective, and World Premiere plays by Vickie Tanner and Lindsay Joy. 

Rattlestick Playwrights and LaiLou Productions have announced that the world premiere of Shesh Yak, written by Laith Nakli and directed by Bruce McCarty, will begin previews Thursday, January 15, 2015 at Rattlestick Playwrights Theater, 224 Waverly Place, west of Seventh Avenue South. The official opening night is set for Thursday, January 29, 2015. The production will play through Sunday, February 22, 2015.
