All My Sons tells the story of Joe Keller, a successful, middle-aged, self-made man who has done a terrible and tragic thing. He framed his business partner for a crime and engineered his own exoneration. Now, his son is about to marry the partner's daughter, the affair is revisited, and his lie of a life is unraveled. In All My Sons, Arthur Miller creates a post-war American family in a tragic downfall of lies, greed, love, and loss, and demands its audience examine their own social responsibilities to all the sons and daughters of American wars.

Orlando Repertory Theatre (Orlando REP) is beginning 2020 with an onstage adaptation of the beloved classic novel a?oeAnne of Green Gablesa?? by L.M. Montgomery. The stage play by the same name is reimagined by playwright R. N. Sandberg, and follows the story of young orphan Anne Shirley and the place in which she accidentally finds family, friends, and home. Anne of Green Gables opens to the public this Saturday, February 1 and runs through February 23 with performances on Saturdays and Sundays. For RAGTIME, director Mark Edward Smith and his crew have crafted one of the most appealing and stately sets I've seen at the Garden Theatre. The blocking is clever and thoughtful - important when you have a big ensemble cast on a small stage - and the lighting and costumes are on point. The vaudeville era must be the Garden's charm, because this is certainly the best staging I've seen here since the last season opener, Gypsy. But whether you've seen RAGTIME or not, it's the cast here that is really going to wow you...

This fall, audiences at Garden Theatre will be asked to confront themes of violence, immigration, and race during the theatre's season opener of Ragtime the Musical. The production, directed by Mark Edward Smith, features music direction by Robby Stamper and choreography by Carrie Crawford.
