Production company Love Drunk Life will bring two shows to this year's Philadelphia Fringe Festival. First up will be The Murder & Booze Cabaret, opening September 6th at the Arden Theater Hamilton Family Arts Center. The show recently enjoyed a run in the New Jersey Fringe Festival.

The Murder & Booze Cabaret, produced by Love Drunk Life, will play the Jersey Fringe Festival from August 2 - 4. Originally commissioned in 2015 as a part of the One Book New Canaan Project, The Murder & Booze Cabaret features real and real-crazy drunken tales of fame and violence from the 1920s fused with jazzy riffs on modern pop songs for a night of high notes, low blows, and bespoke cocktails. Devised by Katie Frazer and Brandon Monokian and directed by Shamus Hunter McCarty, the show will star Allison Boyle, Camille E. Young and Sam Kwietniak. Kwietniak will also provide musical arrangements for the show.

The 2018 Philly Fringe sensation, Close Your Legs, Honey, prissy walks into Bootless Stageworks for a limited engagement. See the show critics and audiences raved about as being, '...one hell of a new musical.'

PHIT most recently participated in the 2017 Festival in their home at the Adrienne Theater. 'We are showcasing many of our longtime performers challenging themselves in new ways. We are also welcoming artists new to the theater to bridge the worlds of alternative and traditional comedy,' said Mike Marbach, acting artistic director of the theater.

The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts is honored to announce that Philadelphia artists, including Center City Jazz Festival Creative Director Ernest Stuart, will join the traveling troupes from Transe Express and STREB during the 2018 Philadelphia International Festival of the Arts (PIFA). Various local dancers and actors will join Ernest Stuart during the World Premiere of Transe Express's Cristal Palace, direct from France, on the banks of the Schuylkill River June 1-10, 2018. EgoPo is collaborating with Guare to present all three plays, now titled Cold Harbor, Aipotu, and Madaket Road in a consecutive cycle, with music by Jay Ansill and Cynthia Hopkins. This epic piece of theater about an American family, set between the Civil War and the birth of the 20th-century, runs from April 25-May 6. During this time, there will be two opportunities to see the trilogy over three consecutive evenings, and four opportunities to see all three plays in one day.

Co-Artistic director Ed Corsi combines an old-fashion love story with a classic musical theatre feel while winning the audience in a very personal way.

Eagle Theatre's THE FANTASTICKS hosts a cast full of arts education advocates. Paul Weagraff, a professional actor hailing from Wilmington, Delaware, has appeared in six Eagle Theatre productions. Currently starring in THE FANTASTICKS, his view on the importance of arts education spans far beyond the theatre itself. Weagraff states, As a former history teacher, integrating the arts into my classes engaged students that otherwise would have been marginalized, and infused energy and enthusiasm into topics that, to them, seemed distant and irrelevant.

The 2017 season comes to an end as Eagle Theatre serves up family friendly holiday fair with the world's longest running musical, THE FANTASTICKS.
