Gingold Theatrical Group just celebrated Opening Night for this rare revival of Shaw's beloved almost historical comedy Caesar & Cleopatra last night, September 24th at Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street, between 9th and 10th Avenues). This limited Off-Broadway engagement, now in previews, will continue through October 12th only.
Gingold Theatrical Group held its Golden Shamrock Gala 2019, honoring humanitarian and award-winning creator of Godspell, Pippin, and Wicked, Stephen Schwartz, on Saturday, March 16th at 3 West Club (3 West 51st Street). Among some surprise guests performers were Stephen Schwartz himself, along with Claybourne Elder, Melissa Errico, and Alison Fraser.
The annual KLEBAN PRIZE FOR MUSICAL THEATRE presentation took place Monday, February 4 at ASCAP, 250 W. 57th Street. Broadway's legendary musical theater creators and up-and-comers alike, came out to honor this year's three prize winners, perform some of their material, and present the prizes at a reception hosted by ASCAP and BMI.

This year's gala was geared toward raising funds for GTG's full production of Shaw's masterpiece, Heartbreak House, which will run in New York's Theatre Row on 42nd Street from August 28 through September 29th.

Adjudication in the 2018 Kleban Prize for the most promising musical theatre lyricist category resulted in a tie between Alan Schmuckler and Amanda Yesnowitz, and the 2018 Kleban Prize for the most promising musical theatre librettist has been awarded to Christian Duhamel.

Running September 3-October 13, the show's sumptuous costumes, elegant settings and Shavian wit will raise a champagne toast to a year of celebration at The Pearl, where Shaw, following Shakespeare, has been the second most produced playwright in The Pearl's history. The production is also the centerpiece of the Shaw New York 2013 festival.
