Absurdist quintet Figs In Wigs return to preach an apocalyptic gospel - but is this the beginning of the end or the end of the beginning?

A 15-show season of Sisterhood of the Travelling Lighter is coming to The Blue Room Theatre this Annual Season, to theatrically portray the unique lens of womanhood and explores a rich tapestry of connection and love.

​​​​​​​Jimmy Kimmel and friends, A-list comedians Sarah Silverman, Jeff Ross and Nick Kroll, with a special appearance by famed YouTuber Mark Rober, will headline  “It's No Joke” – an intimate night of comedy, food and drink in support of critical Project ALS research.

When you think of Little Women, what probably springs to mind is a group of earnest young ladies in Massachusetts learning how to navigate the adult world – or, potentially, Joey’s reaction to Beth getting sick when he reads the book in an episode of Friends. What you don’t immediately think of is climate change and cocktails. Unless you’re Figs in Wigs, that is.

Figs in Wigs will reprise their  live art, feminist adaptation of Louisa May Alcott's classic novel Little Women – Little Wimmin as part of WOW – Women of the World – London 2022 Festival prior to a UK tour. Running at the Southbank Centre from 11-13 March, the London edition of the WOW is the world's biggest, most comprehensive festival celebrating women, girls and non-binary people.

Utah Opera Artistic Director Christopher McBeth today announced the programming and creative teams for Utah Opera's 2020-21 season, sponsored by the George S. and Dolores Doré Eccles Foundation.

Running as part of the already announced exciting autumn season Pleasance now announces their Best of Edinburgh Season with true crime sensations, award nominated shows, original musicals for children and frenzied cabarets. Pleasance's 2019 Edinburgh programme saw over 560,000 festival goers enjoying 5,534 performances of 277 productions and this Best of Edinburgh season offers London audiences a slice of some of the action.

Utah Opera opens its 2018-19 season with Shakespeare's love story of two star-cross'd lovers in Charles Gounod's musical take on the tragic tale, “Romeo and Juliet” The production will be performed five times at the Janet Quinney Lawson Capitol Theatre (50 West 200 South) on October 13 and 19 at 7:30 PM, October 15 and 17 at 7 PM, and October 21 at 2 PM.
