The Harlem Gospel Travelers released their album Look Up! via Colemine Records. Born out of an non-profit music education program led by Reed, The Harlem Gospel Travelers—singers Ifedayo Gatling, George Marage, and Dennis Bailey—released their debut LP, He’s On Time, to rave reviews in 2019.

The acclaimed production, which received a Special Tony Award at the Tony Awards ceremony on September 26, features David Byrne with returning band members Jacquelene Acevedo, Gustavo Di Dalva, Daniel Freedman, Chris Giarmo, Tim Keiper, Tendayi Kuumba, Karl Mansfield, Mauro Refosco, Stéphane San Juan, Angie Swan and Bobby Wooten III.

The BCT company hails from towns throughout the area. “We have members from Brainerd and Baxter, of course, but we also have several from Little Falls, Crosby, Pillage, Staples, Crosslake, Jenkins, Pine River, Nisswa, Fort Ripley, Breezy Point, Merrifield, Buffalo, and Minneapolis,” said Spradlin.

Last night was the official opening of the New York premiere of the musical Alice By Heart with book by Steven Sater with Jessie Nelson, music by Duncan Sheik, lyrics by Steven Sater and directed by Jessie Nelson.

Carnegie Hall today announced the names of the 106 outstanding young musicians selected from across the country for the sixth annual National Youth Orchestra of the United States of America (NYO-USA). The members of the 2018 orchestra-ages 16-19, hailing from 28 US states plus Puerto Rico-have been recognized by Carnegie Hall as being among the finest players in the country following a comprehensive and highly competitive audition process. This summer's orchestra will feature 36 musicians who previously played with NYO-USA, as well as 18 musicians who gained experience through NYO2, a program for younger players ages 14-17, with a particular focus on attracting talented students from communities underserved by, and underrepresented in, the classical orchestral field. NYO-USA and NYO2 are both free for all participants, ensuring that all invited musicians have the opportunity to take part in these prestigious national programs.

For the first time in almost 40 years, Wolverhampton Grand Theatre will produce a full-scale production in house. Jeffrey Holland will play ex-miner and veteran conductor of Grimley Band, Danny in BRASSED OFF, from Wednesday 23 August - Saturday 2 September 2017.

Gregory Alan Isakov's new full-length album, Gregory Alan Isakov with the Colorado Symphony, is out today on Suitcase Town Music and currently #1 on iTunes Singer/ Songwriter chart (purchase here).
