Photos: First Look at RED RIDING HOOD at Theatre Royal Stratford East


Theatre Royal Stratford East has announced the full cast for this year’s pantomime, Red Riding Hood, directed by Robert Shaw Cameron. The cast includes Elise Zavou as Red, Phil Nichol as Granny, Jodie Jacobs as Woody, Ashley Goh as Bo Peep, Raphael Bushay as Wolf and Luke Latchman as Wolfie and Kirsty Whelan as Mum.

Everybody’s Talking About Jamie will return with social distancing and half the usual capacity to the Apollo Theatre from 12th December. Celebrating its 3rd birthday, Everybody’s Talking About Jamie’s return will be the first full-book musical to re-open in the West End this Christmas, ahead of its 1000th performance.

Marion Harding Freshman Phil Nicol Wins CSO's 2014 Young Musicians Competition Senior Division


The Columbus Symphony today announced that 15-year-old percussionist Phil Nicol, a freshman at Marion Harding High School, is the winner of the Senior Concerto Division of the Columbus Symphony's 2014 Young Musicians Competition. Held at The Ohio State University School of Music, it is an annual competition for young musicians in grades 8-12. Nicol's outstanding performance of the first movement of the Concerto for Marimba and Orchestra by Ney Rosauro (accompanied by John Holsinger) on the marimba resulted in a $500 award generously provided by the Women's Association of the Columbus Symphony.

Artistic Director of the Donmar Warehouse, Josie Rourke, will direct the world premiere of award-winning writer Matt Charman's new work: The Machine. This new play is based on Grandmaster Garry Kasparov's headline-grabbing 1997 New York chess tournament against Deep Blue, a super-computer developed by technology giant IBM.
