Memorial Art Gallery in Rochester Presents 'The Path to Paradise: Judith Schaechter's Stained-Glass Art'


The Memorial Art Gallery (MAG) of the University of Rochester is pleased to present The Path to Paradise: Judith Schaechter's Stained-Glass Art, the first survey and major scholarly assessment of this groundbreaking artist's 37-year career. Organized by the Memorial Art Gallery of the University of Rochester, the exhibition will be on view in Rochester from February 16 to May 24, 2020, after which it will travel to Toledo Museum of Art, June 27 to October 4, 2020, and Des Moines Art Center, February 5 to May 9, 2021.

The "I Have A Dream" Foundation - Los Angeles (IHADLA) is holding their 6th Annual Dreamer Dinner on Sunday, March 31, 2019 at The Skirball Cultural Center. This event honors those who inspire hopes and dreams for Los Angeles underserved youth and their families, showcasing the work being done by IHADLA to break the cycle of intergenerational poverty through education, empowerment and opportunity. The host for the evening will once again be actress & comedian Melissa Peterman ("Baby Daddy," "Reba") in her sixth turn as emcee for the event. Oscar-winning actress Regina King ("If Beale Street Could Talk") will be in attendance to introduce Pamela Miller, CEO and Executive Director of IHADLA since January 2018 and devoted IHADLA board member since 2016.

This event honors those who inspire hopes and dreams for Los Angeles at-risk youth and their families, showcasing the work being done by IHADLA to break the cycle of poverty through education, empowerment and opportunity.  The host for the evening will be actress & comedian Melissa Peterman (“Baby Daddy,” “Reba”) in her fifth turn as emcee for the event.  Pamela Miller, CEO and Executive Director of IHADLA, who joined the organization this past January had this to say about the upcoming event, “I am excited about the Dreamer Dinner and am proud to share our meaningful work with the evening's guests. Our board members, volunteers and professional staff are extraordinary - and we look forward to celebrating our amazing students, in what is always a heart-warming and fun evening.”

Director Joe Dowling today announced the Guthrie Theater's 2010-2011 season will begin with the world premiere of a new play by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Marsha Norman. The Master Butchers Singing Club, adapted from the novel by Minnesota author Louise Erdrich, opens on the Wurtele Thrust Stage of the Guthrie Theater in September under the direction of Francesca Zambello.
