Pamela Frank

Pamela Frank began her performing career in 1985, appearing with Alexander Schneider and the New York String Orchestra at Carnegie Hall. She subsequently performed as a soloist with major orchestras including the Philadelphia Orchestra, Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Cleveland Orchestra, Boston Symphony Orchestra, New York Philharmonic, San Francisco Symphony, Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, Berlin Philharmonic, St. Petersburg Philharmonic, and Israel Philharmonic.

Frank's chamber music collaborations have included performances with Peter Serkin, Yo-Yo Ma, Emanuel Ax, Claude Frank, the Academy of St Martin in the Fields, the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, and Musicians from Marlboro. In 1999, she received the Avery Fisher Prize.

Frank has served on the faculties of the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University, the Curtis Institute of Music, and Stony Brook University. Since 2012, she has served as chair of the jury for the Yehudi Menuhin International Competition for Young Violinists.
