BWW Review: CLYBOURNE PARK, Park Theatre

A revival of Bruce Norris’s biting satire Clybourne Park still feels relevant today to questions of racial tension and gentrification.

BWW Interview: Imogen Stubbs Talks CLYBOURNE PARK

Pulitzer Prize winning Clybourne Park was fully rehearsed and ready to run at Park Theatre for its 10th Anniversary back in 2020. Covid prevented the revival from materialising but now, two years later, it is finally set to return to the London stage. Actor Imogen Stubbs took time out of rehearsals to speak with BroadwayWorld about the production.

BWW Review: STRIKING 12, Union Theatre

The festive season isn't everyone's favourite annual event, and this year in particular is not working out for Brendan: his fiancee has left him, he's failing at work, and his friends can't take the hint that he's not a New Year's Eve kind of person. All he wants to do is sit in his flat with a beer and be in bed by 11pm. But will an encounter with a slightly odd girl selling lightbulbs, and finally finding out how The Little Match Girl ends, end his year on a more positive note? This is the basis for Brendan Milburn, Valerie Vigoda and Rachel Sheinkin's musical Striking 12, which makes its UK debut at the Union Theatre this Christmas.

It is directed by Simon Evans, who previously helmed a production of Letts' Bug at the short-lived venue Found111 - the show also marks the return of Orlando Bloom to the London stage, starring alongside Steffan Rhodri, Neve McIntosh, Sophie Cookson and Adam Gillen.
