Northern Ireland Opera announces today the Principal cast and creatives for their magnificent new production of Tosca, Puccini’s intense political thriller.

The incredible, all-female cast has been announced for the world premiere of actor and playwright Eugene O’Hare’s The Dry House at Marylebone Theatre.  The ensemble cast includes Derry Girls’ fan-favourite Aunt Sarah, Kathy Kiera Clarke (The Pale Horse and Bloodlands, BBC; Tartuffe, National Theatre; Medea, Citizens Theatre), who plays the role of Claire.

The Orange Tree Theatre put on his searing Blood Knot in 2019 about brothers across the race divide and now revisits his work with the powerful story of a forbidden relationship between a white woman and a black man in Statements After An Arrest Under The Immorality Act.

JMK Award Winner Diane Page directs Scarlett Brookes (Frieda), Richard Sutton (Detective Sergeant du Preez) and Shaq Taylor (Errol).

Continuing its partnership with the Orange Tree Theatre, the production forms part of the theatre’s upcoming Recovery Season, and opens on 2 September, with previews from 28 August and running until 2 October.
