On Monday October 22 at New York City's acoustically renown Merkin Concert Hall, Kaufmann Music Center acclaimed opera singer, curator and host Allison Charney will welcome audiences to "PREFORMANCES WITH ALLISON CHARNEY" Tenth Anniversary Season.

PREFORMANCES WITH ALLISON CHARNEY brings its inaugural season at Merkin Concert Hall, Kaufman Music Center to a close with a concert befitting a sonnet on William Shakespeare's Birthday,  Monday April 23rd at 1PM.

'PREFORMANCES WITH ALLISON CHARNEY' first evening concert of the 2017-18 season will feature preeminent musicians Kajsa William-Olsson, Elizabeth Mann, Donna Weng and the ARK trio (soprano Allison Charney, cellist Kajsa William-Olsson, pianist Reiko Uchida) in exclusive preview 'preformances' - anticipating their upcoming appearances on the world's most prestigious stages. The November 27th concert program taking place at 7:30 pm at Merkin Concert Hall at Kaufman Music Center will present works by master composers of the 20th century - Czech composer Bohuslav Jan Martin? and Russian composer Sergei Sergeyevich Prokofiev as well as new classical works by American contemporary composer Michael Ching.

Mezzo soprano Hyona Kim will join PREformances with Allison Charney classical concert series on November 27th for the second concert of its 2017-18 debut Season at Merkin Concert Hall at Kaufman Music Center. Ms. Kim joins host and founder soprano Allison Charney in a program which will feature preformances by Royal Stockholm Philharmonic cellist Kajsa William-Olsson who will play Martinu's Cello Concerto, No. 1 as she prepares to perform it with full orchestra later this season; Orchestra of St. Luke's principal flutist Elizabeth Mann who will play Prokofiev's Flute Sonata with pianist Donna Weng in advance of their upcoming concert at Princeton and the ARK trio, who will perform Michael Ching's reimagining's of five of Schubert's classic songs in his cycle Arrangements and Derangements: Interpretations of Schubert.

Contemporary classical composer Moshe Knoll's cantata Psalm 133 will receive its New Jersey premiere on October 27, 2017 in Prayer for Peace: The Power of One Voice at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) under the baton of Jason Tramm.

'PREformances with Allison Charney' launches its 2017-2018 Concert Series Season in its new home at Merkin Concert Hall at Kaufman Music Center. Both intimate and stately the 450-seat Merkin Concert Hall at Kaufman Music Center is located within the world-renown epicenter of classical music on Manhattan's West Side.

The classical concert Prayer for Peace: The Power of One Voice will come to life in two successive concert appearances: in New York City on October 16th and in New Jersey's NJPAC, the state's preeminent concert hall on October 27th at 8PM.

Merkin Concert Hall at Kaufman Music Center's famed acoustics will be put to the test when PREformances with Allison Charney fills the celebrated New York City concert hall with the sound of music on October 16 at 1PM.

Seton Hall University's School of Diplomacy and International Relations and College of Communication and the Arts are pleased to announce that Newark, New Jersey has been selected for the New Jersey premiere of Prayer for Peace. Inspired by Leonard Bernstein's artistic mandate the classical music concert dedicated to music's role as an instrument of peace will take place Friday, October 27, 2017, at 8 p.m. at NJPAC's Prudential Hall honoring Discover Jersey Arts Month and the National Arts and Humanities Month celebrated each October.

Noted American conductor Jason Tramm makes his Italian 2017 Narnia Festival conducting debut with several scheduled performances -  including two new, fully staged productions of "Gianni Schicchi" and "Suor Angelica" from Puccini's celebrated and enigmatic ensemble of one act operas, "IL TRITICO." Directing the productions Tramm will be working with Maria Rosaria Omaggi,  the accomplished Italian actress and writer.

The ARK Trio returns to the classical concert series "PREformances with Allison Charney" on Monday April 3rd where they first "preformed" in anticipation of their NYC inaugural concert "Love Resounding" earlier this year. The ARK Trio's commitment to contemporary classical works evidenced by their presentation of six world premieres, was praised by Broadway World who noted "In a city where even the most revered classical music institutions offer new works in relatively small doses, this intrepid program, 'Love Resounding' was noteworthy entirely because it presented a complete program of new classical works."
