Mickele Hogan is originally from Omaha, Nebraska. She moved to NYC to study acting at New York University where she received her BFA in Drama. She trained with the Atlantic Acting School. She is the founding member of The Joust Theater Company where she serves as an actor, director, and writer. Her recent credits include: Atlantic Theater Company's Off-Broadway debut of "The Velveteen Rabbit," The Insomnium Theater Company's "The Love of the Nightingale" and the NYC debut of Dipika Guha's "The Rules."

Mickele Hogan's MOURNING THE LIVING Will Tackle Alzheimers and Their Caregivers Off-Broadway


Lifewise Productions has announced that it will stage Mickele Hogan's MOURNING THE LIVING, a new drama directed by Alan Souza about caregivers of those afflicted with Alzheimer's disease, April 7th through April 22nd at the Dorothy Strelsin Theatre at 312 West 36th Street in Manhattan.

The Thespis Theater Festival will present the world premiere of Mickele Hogan's first full-length play, "Mourning the Living," which explores the struggle of caring for a loved one diagnosed with Alzheimer's.

The play will be presented at 9 p.m. on Aug. 11; 1 p.m. on Aug. 13 and 6 p.m. on Aug. 14 at the Hudson Guild Theater, 441 West 26th Street, between 9th and 10th Avenues.  Tickets are $18 and can be obtained through http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/2551912. It is directed by Alan Souza, who has directed both plays and musicals for Drury Lane/Chicago, The Laguna Playhouse, and Texas Shakespeare Festivals, among others.
