Liz Amadio has produced/directed staged readings and workshop productions of 75+ works showcasing 300+ artists. As DAPLab Moderator (2008-2018), she produced all Reading seasons including her full-length, Millennium Mom, which premiered at TNC’s 2016 Dream Up Festival.

As Cosmic Orchid’s Artistic Director, Liz curates Integrative Theatre, a synergy of performing and visual arts. The Hoodie Play (BASP 2015-2016) had four university & NJ Thespian Festival performances. The Voire Dire Project features 25 artists /4 one-act plays /4 artworks. Cycles have integrated paintings, art glass and photography; Guardian of the Field (BASP 2018-2019). Behind Closed Doors (2020 virtual) featured nine plays. The Voire Dire Project 5.0: Images in Sepia ran November 2021 at TNC. Recipient: Puffin Foundation & Leon Levy Foundation Grants.

Liz helms iPower Theatre Collective, a NYC high school arts program integrating performing/visual art with social justice. iPower Pandemic Empowerment is a documentary with students interviewing students, integrated with artwork. Recipient: Citizens Committee & Chelsea & Hudson Yards Grants.

Theater for the New City Sets 7th Dream Up Festival Lineup


From August 28 to September 18, 2016 Theater for the New City (TNC), under the direction of Crystal Field, Artistic Director, will present its seventh Dream Up Festival, a feast of adventurous theater featuring new works from across the country and abroad. Helmed by the theater's Literary Manager, Michael Scott-Price, the festival offers 19 plays, all of which are world premieres or New York premieres.
