ROSIE'S THEATER KIDS celebrated their 15th anniversary by honoring Tony and Grammy Award-winning actor, singer, director, composer, and playwright, Billy Porter. Hosted by Rosie O'Donnell featuring performance by Rosie's Theater Kids, the event welcomed stars of stage and screen. Broadway stars Jessie Mueller (Tony Award, BEAUTIFUL), Chesney Snow (IN TRANSIT), Adrienne Warren (SHUFFLE ALONG), Christopher Jackson (HAMILTON), and BD Wong (M BUTTERFLY) joined 60 students from ROSIE'S THEATER KIDS - the musical theater and education organization for NYC public school students -- on stage at the school's annual spring benefit evening, entitled 'Passing It On' at the Kaye Playhouse at Hunter College (68 St. between Park and Lexington Avenues) on Sunday evening, April 23. The New York Musical Theater Festival and Rosie O'Donnell present MY LIFE: TODAY, an original musical October 5th and 6th at The Duke on 42nd Street. In 2003, Rosie O'Donnell and Lori Klinger founded Rosie's Theater Kids (formerly known as Rosie's Broadway Kids), an organization devoted to using musical theatre to enrich the lives of New York City public school children who otherwise have limited exposure to the arts. Seven years later, their stories and experiences have been transformed into an original musical performed by the students themselves. Centered around a single day in a high school, My Life: Today is a window into the vibrant lives of the city's youth.

The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) has announced the full slate of 27 musical productions, a developmental reading series and special events for their seventh annual festival. This year's Festival will begin September 27th and continue through October 17th. A full breakdown of this year's performances follows.
