The New York Musical Theater Festival and Rosie O'Donnell present MY LIFE: TODAY, an original musical October 5th and 6th at The Duke on 42nd Street. In 2003, Rosie O'Donnell and Lori Klinger founded Rosie's Theater Kids (formerly known as Rosie's Broadway Kids), an organization devoted to using musical theatre to enrich the lives of New York City public school children who otherwise have limited exposure to the arts. Seven years later, their stories and experiences have been
transformed into an original musical performed by the students themselves. Centered around a single day in a high school, My Life: Today is a window into the vibrant lives of
the city's youth.

The show features an edgy, contemporary pop score by Steven Jamail (Nicholas and Alexandra, Vote!) and Sara Patterson (Night Voles) with book by Patterson and co- directors, Lisa Danser and Jeff Statile. Additional material is by Zakiyyah Alexander. Featured in this production are cast members Daniel Estrella, Mary Dunkley, Doug Rosario Kirra Silver, Celeste Estrella, Kelly Chan, Joshua Ramos, Joshua Maldonado, Aria Lee Kayla DelaCruz, Anthony Santos, Taisha Lavarello, Kirra Silver, Kayla DelaCruz, Christina Lai, Ajee Haynes, and Tony Grunin. MY LIFE: TODAY is produced by Rosie's Theater Kids, with lighting design by Carl Wiemann, music direction by Jamail, orchestrations and music preparation by Britt Bonney and stage management by Theresa Flanagan.

Tickets are $20.  For reservations, visit www.NYMF.org or www.rbkids.org.

Now in its seventh year, the New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) is the largest annual musical theatre event in America and is widely regarded as the essential source for new material and talent discovery. NYMF provides a launching pad for the next generation of musicals and their creators to ensure the continued vitality of one of America's greatest art forms. Hailed as the "Sundance of Musical Theatre," NYMF discovers, nurtures, and promotes promising musical theatre artists and producers at all stages of development, and inspires a diverse audience through vibrant, accessible,
powerful new work.
