Regina Opera Company, Brooklyn presents “Carmen” by Georges Bizet Saturdays Nov. 23 & 30; Sundays Nov. 24 & Dec. 1 2019 at 3 PM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help school auditorium, 5902 6th Avenue, Brooklyn (between 59th and 60th Streets).

Five Stars - No, it's not a car service nor a hotel.  It's the number of leading role singers at Regina Opera's “Gotta Sing” Concert. This 2-hour concert features popular opera arias and spirited ensembles performed by Regina Opera leading role singers: Zhanna Alkhazova and Sabrina Palladino - sopranos; Lara Tillotson - mezzo-soprano; Benjamin Sloman - tenor; and Andrew Cummings - baritone.   Accompanying the singers will be Richard Paratley - flutist, and Maxine Feldman - pianist.  The concert features selections from 'Don Giovanni,  'Manon Lescaut', 'Carmen', 'Cavalleria Rusticana', and other operas. 

AMLETO, an opera by Franco Faccio with a libretto by Arrigo Boito based on Shakespeare's 'Hamlet,' which was reconstructed by conductor Anthony Barrese and not performed for 145 years since its Genoa premiere in 1865 and an 1871 La Scala revival, will be broadcast nationally throughout the United States by the WFMT Radio Network today, November 28, 2015. The production was originally broadcast live on KHFM Albuquerque, where the work was given its American premiere.

Regina Opera Company will present Bizet's 'Carmen' on Saturdays May 16 and 23; and Sundays May 17 and 24 at 3:00PM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help auditorium, 5902 6th Avenue, Brooklyn. The fully-staged performances of this tragedy in which a sultry gypsy drives a young soldier to extremes of passion, is sung in French with English super-titles.

Let's cheer the end of winter as Regina Opera celebrates its 45th Anniversary with a 2-hour concert of opera highlights on April 12, 2015 at 3 PM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Auditorium in Brooklyn.

Featured are sopranos Maryam Amatullah-Wali and Christina Rohm; mezzo-soprano Lara Tillotson; tenor Anthony Tolve; and baritone Thomas Geib. The singers are accompanied by Richard Parately - flutist; and Victoria Ulanovskaya - pianist.

St. Petersburg Opera Co. is presenting Puccini's beloved Madama Butterfly on June 10, 12, and 14 at the Palladium Theater, St. Petersburg.

St. Petersburg Opera Company is undertaking another collaboration with local artists and arts companies. In conjunction with its production of Madama Butterfly, (June 10, 12 and 14 at the Palladium Theater), the opera company is joining with photographer Steven Le of Thee Photo Ninja and local art company, Canvas Zoo, to create beautiful archival images featuring the stars in their costumed roles.

St. Petersburg Opera is launching its first themed festival on April 30, 2011. Dedicated to the music of Giacomo Puccini, the festival includes eight separate events and a total of over twenty performances.

Hailed as witty and wildly romantic, A Little Night Music tells the story of a tangled web of former and current lovers. Sondheim's evocative lyrics about love and relationships are set to memorable waltzes and familiar melodies like 'Send in the Clowns' Buffy Baggott will play Desiree Armfeldt; Kenneth Derby will be her former lover, Fredrik Egermann. Both Baggott and Derby have extensive Broadway and opera experience.
