Blues vocalist Sari Schorr is back in the studio this week to record the follow-up album to her critically acclaimed debut album 'A Force of Nature". Before embarking on her UK tour on Wednesday 15th March, Sari is currently recording her new studio album in Bath.

Shakespeare in the Bar is proud to announce a new leadership team of artists which will allow the group to continue producing work in the years ahead. Co-founders Katherine Bourne and Dylan Key are thrilled to announce that Kevin Butler, Jeffrey Colangelo, Janielle Kastner, Marcus Stimac, and Katy Tye will take over as producers of Shakespeare in the Bar. Bourne and Key are departing to pursue opportunities in Chicago and San Diego respectively, but will continue to be involved in an advisory capacity.

NYC Parks and Fairway Community Foundation are pleased to cut the ribbon on renovated handball courts at Chelsea Park in Manhattan and Coffey Park in Brooklyn. On Tuesday, August 23rd, Parks Commissioner Mitchell J. Silver, FAICP joined the Fairway Community Foundation and local elected officials to cut the ribbon at Chelsea Park, and today, Parks' Brooklyn Borough Commissioner Kevin Jeffrey joined the Foundation, as well as City Council Member Carlos Menchaca to cut the ribbon on Coffey Park. Today, July 19, Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz welcomed Tony-winning and Emmy-nominated entertainer Ben Vereen (performing at 54 Below, July 10-21), the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation and the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene to a day of events at Borough Hall as part of the 2012 "Lighten Up Brooklyn" campaign, an anti-obesity and healthy lifestyle initiative launched by BP Markowitz eleven years ago.
