“General Hospital”'s annual Nurses Ball, this year sponsored by Olay, returns on WEDNESDAY, MAY 16, and airs through MONDAY MAY 21. Founded in 1994 by Port Charles resident Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring), the Nurses Ball is one of fictional Port Charles' most glamorous charity events, dedicated to HIV/AIDS awareness and research. It was Halloween Night on last night's DANCING WITH THE STARS and the remaining celebrity dancers certainly got into the spirit of the holiday!

Some of the biggest and brightest stars of daytime television are scheduled to present at the 44th Annual Daytime Creative Arts Emmy® Awards on Friday, April 28th, 2017 and the Daytime Emmy® Awards on Sunday, April 30th, 2017 at the historic Pasadena Civic Auditorium located in Pasadena, Southern California.

Wednesday night's Season 4 premiere of ABC's NASHVILLE brought a heavy helping of the show's soapy best and worst. I make no bones about the fact that when it comes to TV, I have a few guilty pleasures; one is this country music, primetime soap opera, and another is ABC's lone remaining honest-to-goodness soap opera, GENERAL HOSPITAL. While NASHVILLE opens up its season with a heaping helping of delicious melodrama, I find myself becoming increasingly weary of the repetitive storylines that the show has been stuck in for the past season-plus. I think if Callie Khouri and her writers leaned in and fully embraced the show's soapy nature, it might result in a more fresh and creative product. So, I have come up with five soap-inspired rules that I think will help the NASHVILLE writers as they plot out the rest of the season.

The extraordinary episode will be filled with show-stopping performances featuring past and present 'Dancing with the Stars' cast members and pro dancers plus a look back at fan-favorite moments from the past 20 seasons. Dancing history will be made with the show's largest opening number ever, featuring over 45 stars including the judges, hosts, and Season 20 pro dancers performing alongside 15 celebrity alums and seven returning pros.

On Friday, June 20th, the brightest stars of televisions below the line talent in Daytime gathered at the Bonaventure Hotel in Los Angeles to honor their own at the 41st Daytime Creative Arts EMMY Awards. Although many of the individuals associated with nominated projects may not have been household names, there were many recognizable personalities such as Ron Howard, George Lucas, Leeza Gibbons, Jack Hanna and even Cookie Monster (David Rudman). On hand to disperse awards to over 50 categories were such noted performers as Melody Thomas Scott, George Chakiris, Ashley Tisdale, Lauralee Bell and June Lockhart, who has started her 81st year as a paid actress that included her role of Maria Ramirez on General Hospital for many years. Seattle's 5th Avenue Theatre was originally set to present a re-imagined concert version of Lerner and Loewe's Tony Award-winning musical GIGI this May, but the company has been forced to cancel the production due to internal scheduling conflicts. The musical has been announced for a Broadway opening in 2015.
