On October 15, teens from stage and screen came together at The Green Room 42 to perform a show they created, entitled #WeHaveaVoice. They played to a packed, sold-out house, singing songs with themes relevant to them including dreams and aspirations, belonging, family, and love. Their benefit concert raised over $2,500 for Covenant House, an organization they felt is important, relevant, and in need of their help, especially after the devastating weather that caused damage to seven of their shelters. The York Theatre Company, dedicated to the development of new musicals and preserving musical gems from the past, concludes the Fall 2014 Musicals in Mufti Series with the first New York revival and world premiere of a new re-imagined version of the 1992 musical, My Favorite Year, with book by Joseph Dougherty, lyrics by Lynn Ahrens, and music by Stephen Flaherty, based on the motion picture by Dennis Palumbo and Norman Steinberg. The limited engagement of My Favorite Year will play 5 performances only December 5-7, 2014 at The York Theatre Company's home at Saint Peter's (Entrance on East 54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue).

The York Theatre Company has announced that Tony Award winning director and lyricist Richard Maltby, Jr. has joined the cast and has assumed the role of MacMillan in the season opener of the Fall 2014 Musicals in Mufti Series: Big, with book by John Weidman, lyrics by Mr. Maltby. and music by David Shire. This presentation of Big marks the New York premiere of the script and score created by the authors for the show's national tour-a significantly revised version of the show with eight new Maltby and Shire songs, yet to be recorded. Mr. Maltby replaces Walter Charles who left the production due to an unexpected conflict.
