Cape Cod Chamber Orchestra, the Cape’s professional collaborative orchestra, will present its Season Four opening performance of the 2021-22 season, OPEN CCCO: Season Kickoff & Serenade, on Sunday, August 29, 3 pm, Pilgrim Congregational Church, 533 Rt. 28, Harwich Port. The orchestra is conducted by Founding Music Director Matthew Scinto.

Kansas City Repertory Theatre continues its 2019/20 season with a beloved holiday tradition, Charles Dickens' A CHRISTMAS CAROL. This year's production is an adaptation by Geoff Elliott with direction from KCRep Associate Artistic Director Jason Chanos. A CHRISTMAS CAROL begins previews Friday, November 22, opens Saturday, November 30 at 8 pm, and continues through Sunday, December 29. Performances take place at Spencer Theatre on the UMKC campus.

From the opening song, the audience knows they are in for a special evening as Spinning Tree Theatre presents BILLY ELLIOT at the Just Off Broadway Theatre in Kansas City. This production directed by Michael Grayman-Parkhurst raises the bar for local theatrical performances. BILLY ELLIOT will make you laugh, it will make you cry, and it will forever be locked in your memory.

Spinning Tree Theatre concludes season eight April 4-20 with Billy Elliot. With book and lyrics by Lee Hall and music by Elton John, Billy Elliot won ten 2009 Tony Awards including Best Musical and Best Book of a Musical. Billy Elliot will also mark the company's final production at Just Off Broadway Theatre before moving to Johnson County Arts and Heritage Center for the 2019-20 season.

Quality Hill Playhouse continues its 24th Season with a romp through the decade that gave us classic Broadway musicals as well as the rise of vocal jazz in BROADWAY AND ALL THAT JAZZ: SONGBOOK OF THE 50S, an original cabaret revue opening March 8.

LAST DAYS OF SUMMER features music by Grammy winner Jason Howland, is directed and choreographed by Tony nominee Jeff Calhoun (Broadway's NEWSIES, KCRep's BETWEEN THE LINES), and is produced by special arrangement with Daryl Roth (Broadway's KINKY BOOTS and INDECENT, KCRep's BETWEEN THE LINES).

J. Kent Barnhart's Quality Hill Playhouse trots out another of his patented cabaret style revues, "Sinatra's Songwriter."  This revue celebrates Sammy Cahn, the longtime lyricist and songwriter for legendary crooner Frank Sinatra.  If the well loved music of the long Sammy Cahn-Frank Sinatra collaboration pings at your heartstrings, then this cabaret show is for you.

Josh Cellars - the wine brand founded by a son to honor his father - is helping spread gratitude to dads everywhere with the first-ever Grand Central Terminal pop up shop dedicated entirely to thoughtful, last-minute gifts for Father's Day. The pop up shop will be open June 13-15 from noon to 8:00 PM in Vanderbilt Hall.

Kansas City Repertory Theatre's Artistic Director, Eric Rosen, today announced the cast for SWEENEY TODD: THE DEMON BARBER OF FLEET STREET which closes the 2017/2018 mainstage season at KCRep. SWEENEY TODD runs March 23 - April 15 at the Spencer Theatre on the UMKC campus and will be directed by Rosen.

Kansas City has many fine holiday traditions. One of my favorites is the annual 'Christmas in Song' presented by Quality Hill Playhouse. It is an eclectic mix of old favorites, newer Broadway presentations, and songs presented in a style different than you might usually hear them.

Quality Hill Playhouse 'Christmas in Song' a cabaret hit with a quartet of bold and beautiful voices rings in the season with their 16th annual event. Now through Christmas Eve take in the American Songbook of Christmas music as performed by J Kent Barnhart, Joseph Carr, LaTeesha McDonald Jackson, and Sarah Labarr with selections that cover a wide variety of popular hits.

Quality Hill Playhouse continues its annual tradition of presenting holiday music in a cabaret setting when CHRISTMAS IN SONG opens November 24. The production will mark the 16th consecutive year of presenting the Playhouse's signature blend of sacred and secular Christmas songs in the intimate 153-seat theatre.
