NAATCO will begin performances for the Off-Broadway premiere of Hansol Jung’s modern verse translation of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, the classic tale of star-crossed lovers.  Jung will co-direct Romeo and Juliet with Dustin Wills.

A World Premiere modern verse translation of Shakespeare’s ode to young love hits the stage at Two River Theater from April 8 – April 30, 2023.

The Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival (Davis McCallum, Artistic Director; Kate Liberman, Managing Director) is proud to announce complete casting for the 2018 summer season. The previously announced season will include two Shakespeare classics, RICHARD II and THE TAMING OF THE SHREW, alongside David Farr's adaptation of THE HEART OF ROBIN HOOD, and the world premiere of Seth Bockley's RIP VAN WINKLE; or, CUT THE OLD MOON INTO STARS, the first-ever mainstage commission by HVSF, featuring 40-plus members of the Hudson Valley community alongside a cast of 4 professional actors. The season will also feature the HVSF Conservatory Company in an original clown piece, THE SEA-MAID'S MUSIC, devised and directed by Zachary Fine.

Exquisite Corpse Company (ECC) rings in the new year with Corpse Revival Performance Series: Like Clockwork, featuring workshop performances of six new plays developed in their Summer 2016 Writer's Lab. Accomplished professional actors including Sue Jean Kim (theater: Aubergine; film: Maggie's Plan, Bachelorette), Omar Metwally (film: Twilight: Breaking Dawn II, Rendition; TV: "The Affair," "Mr. Robot"), Stephen O'Reilly ("Inside Amy Schumer," "Orange is the New Black," "Girls"), Annie Purcell (The Coast of Utopia, Awake & Sing) and others will perform in Infinity and Beyond: The Ultimate Plays, the Project's Fall 2016 Playmaking show.

THE CLOCKWORK BOY, a new play by Matt Tiemstra, will receive its New York premiere in the 2016 Thespis Theater Festival at the Hudson Guild Theater. The show follows a young android named Jeremy as he desperately tries to solve the mystery of his own existence among humans. Performances will begin September 20th at 9:00 p.m. at the Hudson Guild Theater on 441 West 26th Street. Emily Garrison directs the production.
