Fountain Theatre will be premiering its four-part podcast NUMBERED DAYS on February 14th.  Two-time Emmy winner for Breaking Bad, Anna Gunn stars in this true account of playwright Corey Madden’s “numbered days” with her husband, composer Bruno Louchouarn. Corey Madden does double (or triple?) duty directing Anna as herself, as well as Tony Amendola, Jeanne Sakata and Jack Stehlin. This real-life love story is appropriately being released on Valentine’s Day.

The Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle has announced the nominees for theatrical excellence for the year 2019. This year they are forgoing their annual event ceremony and will instead post the award recipients online in the upcoming weeks: 

Critically-acclaimed Hollywood theatre company The New American Theatre (NAT) will present Anton Chekhov's masterpiece Uncle Vanya, directed by Artistic Director Jack Stehlin, who recently was honored along with managing director/producer Jeannine Wisnosky Stehlin with a career achievement award from Stage Raw. Subtitled 'Scenes from a Country Life in Four Acts,' Uncle Vanya is adapted by the company from a translation by Constance Garnett. Opening weekend begins Friday November 1 at 8pm.

The 2019 Stage Raw Theater Awards celebrate excellence on the Los Angeles stages in venues of 99-seats or under. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. The show starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets will go on sale Wednesday August 7, 2019. The New American Theatre (NAT) will present the Los Angeles premiere of Greg Kalleres' (Honky) comedy Meanwhile, Back at the Super Lair... at the award-winning company's new Hollywood venue. New American Theatre's artistic director Jack Stehlin directs. The production will open Saturday, May 26 and runs through Saturday, June 23. ' Super Lair' will be presented independently and then will be offered as a Hollywood Fringe Festival show.

The New American Theatre celebrates their 21st Anniversary season with William Shakespeare's 'Macbeth: Revisited.'

Rubicon Theatre Company presents Moonlight and Magnolias, the hilarious fly on the wall comedy by Ron Hutchinson about how the most iconic film in Hollywood history almost didn't get made. Directed by Stephanie A. Coltrin, this production features the same principal cast members from her critically acclaimed staging of Moonlight and Magnolias at Hermosa Beach Playhouse in 2010. Just in time for the 80th anniversary of Margaret Mitchell's Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, 'Gone With the Wind,' Rubicon brings this wildly funny, behind-the-scenes farce to Ventura on Saturday, September 3 at 7:00 p.m. with an after party to follow atThe Greek Mediterranean Steak & Seafood. Previews are August 31, Sept. 1 and 2. The show runs through September 18.

TEMPEST REDUX's certainly an welcomed addition to John Farmanesh-Bocca's resume of his visceral, modern re-workings of Shakespeare classics. Farmanesh-Bocca's trademark physicality shines in the inspired pairing of Dash Pepin and Willem Long, both portraying Prospero's slave Caliban in tandem. Their heightened primal antics, acrobatic lifts, frog-leaping and finishing each other's sentences command the stage.

Odyssey Theatre Ensemble and The New American Theatre celebrate El Niño with a perfect storm of comedy, romance, mystery and magic. Adapted, directed and choreographed by John Farmanesh-Bocca and starring New American Theatre artistic director Jack Stehlin (Weeds) as Prospero, Tempest Redux opens at West L.A.'s Odyssey Theatre on February 20.
