Heidi Anderson is an accomplished actor and singer who has performed all over the U.S. and is a member of the professional theatre actors union, Actors Equity Association. Originally from Redondo Beach, CA, she spent most of her childhood and teen years in Utah where her family moved when she was three. Heidi is the youngest of six children in which most of them were all involved in Theatre, Music and Sports. Heidi studied theatre, speech and music at the University of Utah, SUU, and Dixie State college, as well as The American Academy of Dramatic Arts (NYC), HB STudios (NYC) and Weist Barron(NYC).
In 2011 Heidi starred as Ursula- the Sea Witch in the U.S. Regional Premiere of Disney’s The Little Mermaid at Tuacahn Center for the Arts (directed by Scott S. Anderson). Heidi has appeared Off Broadway and on National Tour with Theatreworks USA’s production of The Phantom of the Opera (Barron/Spencer) as Carlotta, of which she can also be heard on the Original Soundtrack Recording on Playbill Records. Other Regional Credits Include: Les Miserables (Madame Thenardier), The Sound of Music (Mother Abbess), Disney’s Beauty and the Beast (Madame de la Grande Bouche),
Grease!(Miss Lynch), Big River (Widow Douglas/Aunt Sally), The Pirates of Penzance (Ruth), South Pacific (Bloody Mary), The King and I (Lady Thiang), Joseph…Technicolor Dream Coat (Carmen Miranda),The Murder Room (Lottie Malloy), A Pack of Lies (Helen Kroger), A Moon for the Misbegotten (Josie), among others. In March of 2011 Heidi directed the musical 1776 as the inaugural production for a new theater company in Southern Utah, Broadway West Theater, of which she is also functioning as the Artistic Director.
