The follow-up to 2020’s ‘Thirteen Dances’, the NYC saxophonist, technologist, dancer and composer will release a new album. Comprising 11 songs of his pioneering brand of cosmic jazz, Butler delivers a concept album of maverick instrumentals tied together by a cryptic central protagonist known only as ‘The Sunbather’. As Butler explains:

Nancy Manocherian's the cell theatre has announced their programming for 2021, which will include collaborations with local and regional artists including One Whale's Tale (Founders Camilo Quiroz-Vazquez and Ellpetha Tsivicos), Amy Engelhardt, The Playhouse at White Lake, Off The Wall Productions, and HOLDTIGHT company.

The Center for the Ballet and the Arts at NYU and National Sawdust today announced the 40 composers and choreographers named as Toulmin Creators who will collaborate on new work for the virtual medium and participate in a slate of digital performances and programs, free and open to the public.

National Sawdust's upcoming 2021 season, BODY / SPACE, celebrates the innovation and reinvention of performance for the virtual stage. We focus on the body as a site of expression and social change to reimagine notions of race, gender, ability, community and artificial intelligence.

Art House Productions in partnership with Friends of Loew's  proudly present the 9th annual Your Move: Modern Dance Festival featuring Bessie Jury Award recipient Kyle Marshall at The Landmark Loew's Jersey Theater, 54 Journal Square Plaza, Jersey City, NJ, 07306, adjacent to the Journal Square PATH Station, on Friday November 2 at 7:30 pm and Sunday November 4 at 2:00 pm and 5:00pm.
