Apple TV+ unveiled the premiere dates for highly anticipated, hit series set to return with new seasons this fall, beginning with “The Mosquito Coast” continuing its high-stakes journey in season two on November 4; celebrated workplace comedy “Mythic Quest” returning for season three on November 11, and more!

Hailed by critics and fans alike for standout performances by stars Justin Theroux, Melissa George, Logan Polish and Gabriel Bateman, the renewal was announced ahead of the highly anticipated season one finale, premiering globally this Friday on Apple TV+.

Apple TV+ has shared a sneak peek clip from the third episode of “The Mosquito Coast,” the new drama series adapted from the best-selling novel and starring Justin Theroux, Melissa George, Logan Polish and Gabriel Bateman, available Friday, May 7.

Museum of the Moving Image will present a special screening of Gordon Parks, Jr.'s Superfly, the seminal urban crime drama set in 1972 New York City, starring Ron O'Neal, Carl Lee, and Sheila Frazier, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary. The film's now classic soundtrack—written, produced, and performed by the legendary Curtis Mayfield—is one of the few soundtracks to have out-grossed its film. The special event on Friday, August 16, 2013, at 7:00 p.m. begins with a screening of Superfly in 35mm (96 mins.), with co-star Sheila Frazier in person for a Q&A, followed by a “Best Superfly Outfit” contest and vocal competition for best a cappella singer of a verse from a song on the Superfly soundtrack, emceed by film producer and Museum trustee Warrington Hudlin. He will be joined by Bow Legged Lou, Paul Anthony, and George Logan, cast members from Hudlin's film House Party.

Movies filmed in New York City that tapped into the turmoil, chaos, and social and cultural energies of the late 1960s and early 1970s are the subject of the screening series Fun City: New York in the Movies 1967-75, curated by film critic and historian J. Hoberman. The series, which will be accompanied by a new monograph written by Hoberman, includes nineteen films, and will be presented by Museum of the Moving Image from August 10 through September 1. The films include established classics such as Rosemary's Baby, The French Connection, Midnight Cowboy, and Dog Day Afternoon, as well as lesser known films such as The Angel Levine, Bye Bye Braverman, and Cotton Comes to Harlem.

PDN is proud to announce the award winners for this year's Photo Annual competition, which recognizes the best photography from 2012. Now in its 13th year, the PDN Photography Annual issue features an extensive portfolio of photography in ten different categories, ranging from editorial assignments, photojournalism, portraiture and advertising to photo books, student work and fine art. Additionally, six awards are presented to photographers who are selected to be in the Photo Annual, including the Arnold Newman Prize for New Directions in Photographic Portraiture and the Marty Forscher Fellowship, which recognize photographers following in the footsteps of two photo industry legends. The PDN Photo Annual has become an annual celebration of innovative photography and talented photographers, with collaborative support from industry leaders including Sony, Parsons The New School for Design, Adobe, Epson, Maine Media Workshops and ASMP.
