CreativeOhio has appointed Sarah Sisser as their new Executive Director and CEO. Sisser brings a wealth of experience as a nonprofit administrator and advocate for public humanities and cultural institutions. She will begin her role in December. Bridgehampton Chamber Music Festival marks its 40th summer season in 2023. Long Island's longest-running classical music festival celebrates this milestone with 11 concerts, July 16 – August 13, that showcase a theme of “Beethoven as Innovator” alongside six of the festival's favorite works from four decades of commissioning new music: pieces by Elizabeth Brown, Kenji Bunch, Eric Ewazen, Bruce MacCombie, Kevin Puts, and Ned Rorem.

Short Story Theatre presents an evening of five warm, wise and wonderful true stories on Thursday, May 11, at 7:30 p.m. at The Art Center Highland Park, 1957 Sheridan Road in Highland Park.

BCM Autumn, Bridgehampton Chamber Music's fall mini-series launched in 2021, expands from two concerts to three in 2022, with Saturday evening programs October 29, November 12, and December 10, BCM's first-ever holiday program.

The festival, in its fifth year, is one of the only festivals in the world to celebrate purely instrumental music from a wide variety of musical genres. It is an inclusive celebration of the guitar and all its relatives from cultures around the globe featuring world class musicians of the Pacific Northwest.

This summer’s Bridgehampton Chamber Music Festival will presents 11 concerts from July 24 to August 21 – approaching its pre-pandemic scope. The 11 distinct programs in the 39th season of Long Island’s longest-running classical music festival highlight interconnections in music.

Students in select Washington County schools will enjoy live professional opera presentations during their school day when Utah Opera’s resident artists perform for them throughout the week of March 21 to 25.

After a pandemic-induced hiatus of two years, Bridgehampton Chamber Music’s BCM Spring series returns in 2022 with three early-evening Saturday concerts in March, April, and May. With its four-week summer festival and the successful launch of BCM Autumn, a two-concert fall series, this past November, Long Island’s longest-running classical music festival now has close to a year-round presence in its East End home.

Continuing its momentum from a successful summer festival of in-person performances, Bridgehampton Chamber Music inaugurates its first fall series, BCM Autumn, that continues the 37-year-old organization's expansion beyond its summer festival (a BCM Spring mini-series began in 2015).  Two Saturday early-evening concerts in November will – belatedly – celebrate Ludwig van Beethoven's 250th birthday as a Beethoven “mini-fest.”

The 38th annual festival presents 13 concerts August 4-22 at its regular venues – the festival's home, the Bridgehampton Presbyterian Church, as well as the Parrish Art Museum and Channing Sculpture Garden.

From the Janet Quinney Lawson Capitol Theatre and Abravanel Hall stages to schools and living rooms throughout the state, Utah Symphony | Utah Opera rolls out streamed content that will bring performances from local, professional musicians to Utahns at home or in the classroom.
