Drive In to the Opening Night Films from Method Fest

Don Franken, Founder of The Method Fest Independent Film Festival, a unique event showcasing the art and craft of acting for cinema, today announced the opening night films to be showcased as Drive-In movie experiences atop the Westfield Fashion Square here this Friday, August 21. They are BEAUTIFUL DREAMER, THE JONESTOWN DEFENSE, h0us3 and OUR LADY OF THE NILE. The Method Fest runs 8/21-23 and 8/26-30.

WORLD OF SINATRAS takes place in suburban New Jersey during the 1960s. Vietnam, civil rights, the assassinations, and sex, drugs, and rock n' roll burn up the American streets, mirroring the turmoil inside the Murdoch home. Once a star athlete and student, 15-year-old Sam is engulfed by alcohol, drugs, and vandalism . . . As well as his rage towards his father, Jack, a brilliant, charismatic, Sinatra-obsessed NYC psychiatrist who can't escape the alcohol and rage of his working class past.

Maja Lieberman cannot tell a lie, and unfortunately, neither can I. Mario Fratti's OBAMA 44, now playing at the La MaMa Theatre, inherently lacks the necessary appeal to enable the audience to sympathize with any of its bizarre and one-dimensional characters, thus rendering an uninspiring and overall lackluster performance.
