San Francisco Marketing Consultant Daniel Corbin (Ross Hellwig) has sneaked away for a holiday weekend with his new bride. Following a honeymoon spat, Bride Elizabeth mysteriously vanishes. Who done it? And what did they do?

“Grand Horizons” is the tongue-in–cheek moniker given the senior development to which the fifty-year, mostly amicable marriage of Bill and Nancy French has recently been downsized. “Buckle your seat belts… it is going to be a bumpy (and funny) ride.”

 KC-favorites Victor Raider-Wexler, Peggy Friesen, and Craig Benton star in the local premiere of the Tony Award® nominee for Best Play, Grand Horizons, from internationally acclaimed playwright and filmmaker Bess Wohl.

It is hard to imagine a tougher gig for any actor than a one-man show about an historical personage; especially in front of people who may have known that person in life or are related to him by blood. This is the towering achievement of actor Victor Raider-Wexler as he conjured up the living being of Westport clothier and Harry Truman presidential buddy Eddie Jacobson for two only performances at the White Theatre inside the Jewish Community Center in Overland Park on May 13 and May 14.

The Kansas City Actors Theatre's 18th Annual Season will present Arthur Miller's The Price. Kansas City favorites Victor Raider-Wexler, Mark Robbins, and Jan Rogge join KCAT newcomer Jason Chanos in the multiple Tony® Award-nominated classic “The Price” by pre-eminent American playwright Arthur Miller.  The moving family drama opens May 25th at the City Stage in Union Station for two weeks only. For audiences feeling the need for a pleasant, two-hour sojourn into a gentler time, Paul Osborn's 1939 comedy of manners 'Mornings at Seven' at Kansas City Actors Theatre inside Union Station will fill their collective nostalgia voids.  Dennis Hennessy's KCAT production is blessed with nine excellent actors of appropriate age to bring this stylish 1939 play-script to life. 

Five expert actors led by Morgan Fairchild entertain with sight gags, snappy dialog, and true caring for their oldest friends.

YOU CAN'T TAKE IT WITH YOU is the current production running at The New Theatre in Overland Park, Kansas. Dennis D. Hennessy directs the comedic play written by George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart. James A. Misenheimer provides a fantastic set for the cast to operate in and Treva Farrell designed the choreography mainly performed by Katie Karel as Essie Carmichael.

Hairspray with book by Mark O'Donnell and Thomas Meehan, music by Marc Shaiman, and lyrics by Scott Wittman and Marc Shaiman runs through July 12. Dennis D. Hennessy directs the magnificent dinner theater production, with Richard J. Hinds providing choreography and Mark Ferrell with music direction. Hennessy, Hinds, and Ferrell were in the same capacity in 2012 for The New Theatre production of Hairspray.

Reprising her role from the New Theatre production of Hairspray, Mandy Morris returns to Kansas City as Amber Von Tussle. Hairspray with book by Mark O'Donnell and Thomas Meehan, music by Marc Shaiman, and lyrics by Scott Wittman and Mark Shaiman runs through July 12 at Ithe dinner theater. Dennis D.
