Gospel of the Marys, an original play written and directed by Molly Houlahan (Hypokrit Theatre Company) will debut as a workshop production at the second annual Furnace Festival at the Center at West Park on August 3rd and 4th, 2019.

Daughters of Troy is currently developing The Persephone Project on Governors Island in New York through Barton Booth's MAKE ROOM initiative. This year's residency explores female sexuality and desire through the lens of the Persephone myth. An exhibition of artwork inspired by the themes will be open to the public on Saturday, Sept. 2 and Sunday, Sept. 3 from 10a-6pm, along with free performances of the theatrical works-in-progress at 1pm, 2pm, 3pm and 4pm at Building 8A in Nolan Park on Governors Island.

On Thursday, Abingdon Theatre Company celebrated the opening night of THE MOTHER OF INVENTION, a new play written by James Lecesne about how one family deals with the effects of Alzheimer's. Directed by Tony Speciale, the company includes Concetta Tomei, James Davis, Dan Domingues, Angela Reed, Isabella Russo and Dale Soules, with performances set to run through February 26.
