On Thursday, Abingdon Theatre Company celebrated the opening night of THE MOTHER OF INVENTION, a new play written by James Lecesne about how one family deals with the effects of Alzheimer's. Directed by Tony Speciale, the company includes Concetta Tomei, James Davis, Dan Domingues, Angela Reed, Isabella Russo and Dale Soules, with performances set to run through February 26. Guests who joined the company at HK Hell's Kitchen for the opening night party included Eve Ensler, Deidre Goodwin, Michael Urie, Arian Moayed, Duncan Sheik and Nora Ariffin among others.

The creative team includes Jo Winiarski (Scenic Design), Daisy Long (Lighting Design), Paul Marlow (Costume Design), Christian Frederickson (Sound Design), and Jerry Marsini (Props Design). Deidre Works is Production Stage Manager.

THE MOTHER OF INVENTION runs through February 26: Tuesdays-Saturdays at 7:30PM; plus matinees Saturdays at 2:30PM and Sundays at2:00PM at Abingdon Theatre Company's June Havoc Theatre (312 West 36th Street, between 8th and 9th Avenues).
