Gun violence is the focus in the wildly experimental digital puppetry show, Fear in the Western World. A couple and their daughter are looking for a new home. They find one in Nesthaven, a gated community. There are lots of problems outside. A community website posts about the dangers. At one point, we hear they've 'got to build taller fences around Nesthaven.'

Written and directed by Commander, Fear in the Western World runs January 2-19 at Target Margin Theater's THE DOXSEE as part of TMT Presents and The Exponential Festival. It opens on January 5.

After opening its first permanent home in November 2017 with an inaugural season that began a multi-year focus on The One Thousand and One Nights and then, in October 2018, launching its first curated presenting series, Target Margin Theater is announces its 2019a?"2020 season, which proudly builds on all of this experimentation and supports even more risk-taking artists and theatrical works in Brooklyn and beyond.

In video-puppetry extravaganza STEVE OF TOMORROW, a couchsurfing time traveler Steve appears at a crammed apartment shared by sci-fi blogger Ralph and his partner Scott. Steve lands in the middle of a media frenzy surrounding a corporate-produced hurricane. What ensues is a split-screen dark comedy about miscommunication in the age of ever-present media and a democracy interrupted by a flurry of pop-up windows.

Steve of Tomorrow is a multi-media, technology based puppet performance about a science fiction enthusiast who posts an open invitation on his blog for time travelers to visit him. Soon after, a man from the future named Steve appears, but he is a lazy, uncommunicative disappointment. Is he a freeloading fake or is this what we become?
