Funny Women of a Certain Age is a show straight from the unfettered mouths and uninhibited minds of the funniest, most daring, most experienced people in comedy: the women that have seen it all. They've raised children both on and off the road with big hairy club bouncers cradling their babies while onstage. These women have stayed in comedy condos where you don't want to use a blacklight on anything. They've been told women aren't funny and asked to trade sexual favors for work. Trust us, they have A LOT to say, and they say it hysterically.
Fresh off their hit Showtime TV special, creator Carole Montgomery and Luenell join forces with Cathy Ladman, Felicia Michaels and Monica Piper to show the world how funny and strong women really ARE!

With Louis CK, Bill Cosby and Al Franken out of the comedy circuit and no doubt many more "balls" to drop, the only funny people left are the legendary women of standup.

Subtitled 'A Light Comedy About Dark Jews,' we meet Bubby as she prepares a much-too-salty matzo ball soup for Rosh Hashana dinner in a period-perfect kitchen as the center piece of a realistic two-story set designed by Joel Daavid in anticipation of her entire family gathering to celebrate the holiday. Even her son and grandson will be there, a special evening (she hopes) as the two have not spoken to each other in years. But after continuously forgetting to bring home the chicken for dinner, Joey's alcoholic father David finally shows up at the table, causing alliances to be challenged and hopefully, new beginnings to be forged. And leave it to Zayda to show up at just the right moments to forward the story and add his own insights into his family's history and character. Oy vey!
