Regional Premiere of TROUBLE IN MIND IS is Coming to Main Street Theater in September


Main Street Theater will open its 47th Season with the regional premiere of Trouble in Mind by Alice Childress. The production opens Saturday night, September 17 at 7:30pm and runs through October 17.

Mildred's Umbrella Theater Company continues their digital 2021-2022 season with the fourth installment of our reading series, FEMFEST HOUSTON, a series that focuses on new plays by women. The Pemberley Plays Are Back via Zoom with Main Street Theater


This December Main Street Theater is bringing back the holiday favorites Miss Bennet and The Wickhams: Christmas at Pemberley via live, staged readings on Zoom. Main Street has been offering the Pemberley plays - based on Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice and written by acclaimed playwright Lauren Gunderson and Margot Melcon - for the last few seasons.

Main Street Theater Opens 42nd Season with Tale of a Restless Society on the Brink of Revolution: ENEMIES


Main Street Theater opens its 42nd Season with Enemies by Maxim Gorky, adapted by David Hare.  Enemies tells the story of Russian society in 1905 when the country sat ready for revolution.  Directed by MST Artistic Director Rebecca Greene Udden, this collaboration with the University of Houston School of Theatre and Dance features a cast of 24, 8 of whom are UH students.
