On March 1, 2019, Opera Santa Barbara presented it's first Russian opera, Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's EUGENE ONEGIN. The opera was premiered in Moscow in 1879 but was not played in the United States until 1920 when the Metropolitan Opera performed it in Italian.

Opera Santa Barbara will open its 2017-18 season with a sumptuous production of Jules Massenet's sultry Manon starring celebrated soprano Sarah Coburn at 7:30 pm on Friday, November 3, followed by an encore performance at 2:30 pm on Sunday, November 5.

The orchestra will present a total of nine programs over the course of its 64th season, including a pair of non-subscription concerts. Series packages start at $62.
