The Phoenix Theatre Company's production of JERSEY BOYS, featuring Justin Albinder as Frankie Valli and James D. Gish as Bob Gaudio, ripples with energy. From Antonio Leroy King's opening rap solo of Yannick's pop hit (Cues soirees la!) to the cast's celebratory closing (Who Loves You), the show is a joyful retrospective on the group's rise to fame.Runs through March 10th.

Witness Uganda - a documentary musical that follows co-creator Griffin Matthews' transformative story establishing UgandaProject, an organization that sponsors the education of ten Ugandan orphans - was the focus of a closed new work reading presented by The ASCAP Foundation at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts (The Wallis) in Beverly Hills on Monday, September 11. Jasmine Easler and Antonio LeRoy King have been chosen as the 2016 recipients of The Actors' Equity Foundation's Roger Sturtevant Award. The Roger Sturtevant Award is given annually to one male and one female Equity Membership Candidate (EMC) who have each demonstrated outstanding talent and skill in musical theatre. The recipients are chosen based on an application, recommendation letters, and a video audition that are then evaluated by a panel of Foundation members and CSA Casting Directors.
