Olney Theatre Center will receive an $11 million grant from the State of Maryland for its “Staging the Future” capital campaign which will bring major renovations and enhancements to the official “State Summer Theatre of Maryland.”

The Alliance Theatre is pleased to announce that Lila Hertz has been chosen as the new Chair of its Board of Directors. She previously served as the Vice Chair of the Board of Directors and has served on the Alliance Theatre Board of Directors since 2011.

Atlanta's nationally acclaimed Alliance Theatre celebrated its upcoming renovation with a special ground breaking last week on the Alliance Stage. Staff, Board Members, Donors and special guests donned hard hats as a large section of the stage wall toppled over, signifying the start to the theater's transformation. Olney Theatre Center Celebrates 75th Anniversary with Diamond Gala, 3/2

On March 2, 2013, Olney Theatre Center will host the Diamond Gala, a black-tie fundraising event celebrating the 75th Anniversary of the Olney Theatre Center. The event will include a cocktail hour, a seated dinner, live musical performances from Olney favorites George Dvorsky (Annie, The Sound of Music), Jessica Lauren Ball (1776, Grease, The Sound of Music, Cinderella), Donna Migliaccio (The Sound of Music, Cinderella), Caitlin Deerin (Annie), Parker Drown (Grease, Cinderella, Spring Awakening), MaryLee Adams (Spring Awakening) and Bobby Smith (Annie, The Sound of Music, Little Shop of Horrors), as well as silent and live auctions. Funds raised from the event will support Olney's artistic and educational programming which reaches over 100,000 audience members a year in Maryland and nationwide.
