The album is an outgrowth of shows celebrating Berlin that Deffaa has been presenting at his base in New York, the 13th Street Theater. It features Broadway performers singing rare--and in some cases, never-before-recorded--songs by master songwriter Berlin. ASCAP Award-winning writer/producer Chip Deffaa's new CD, 'An Irving Berlin Travelogue,' will be released December 3rd.  The album is an outgrowth of shows celebrating Berlin that Deffaa has been presenting at his base in New York, the 13th Street Theater. 

Broadway stars Jessie Mueller (Tony Award, BEAUTIFUL), Chesney Snow (IN TRANSIT), Adrienne Warren (SHUFFLE ALONG), Christopher Jackson (HAMILTON), and BD Wong (M BUTTERFLY) joined 60 students from ROSIE'S THEATER KIDS - the musical theater and education organization for NYC public school students -- on stage at the school's annual spring benefit evening, entitled 'Passing It On' at the Kaye Playhouse at Hunter College (68 St. between Park and Lexington Avenues) on Sunday evening, April 23. The students also performed in pieces choreographed and directed by Chase Brock (SPIDERMAN) Camille A. Brown and Wong. Scroll down for photos from the star-studded event!

The Drama League just announced that pop star Nick Jonas will join the roster of special guests for their 28th Annual Musical Celebration of Broadway honoring Tony® and EmmyAward®-winner Kristin Chenoweth, to be held on February 6, 2012 at the famed Pierre Hotel (2 East 61st Street). Designed by celebrity event planner Preston Bailey, the Gala supports the educational initiatives of The Drama League Directors Project.
