It's Christmas Eve in the tropical prison colony of Cayenne, French Guiana, where the temperature has graciously dropped to 104 degrees. Hopeless shopkeeper Felix Ducotel has hired three convicts - two of them murderers, the third a swindler - to fix his roof. But when Felix's evil cousin arrives to oust Felix and his family from their business, the three convicts realize the Ducatels need a few guardian angels, and decide to use every criminal art they possess to set matters right. BWW Review: WE'RE NO ANGELS Is Devilishly Delightful Comedy of Good and Bad Manners


We're just a fortnight beyond the Twelve Days of Christmas, but it's never too late for an Epiphany, is it? In that spirit, Don Bluth Front Row Theatre has extended the holiday season with the worthy gift of WE'RE NO ANGELS, a light-hearted homage to the blessing of random ~ and fortuitous ~ acts of kindness.

The Adobe Theater is presenting the delightfully offbeat Christmas comedy My Three Angels from December 1st through the 18th, 2016. Written by the husband and wife team of Samuel Spewack and Bella Spewack from the French play "La Cuisine des Anges" by Albert Husson, My Three Angels opened on Broadway on March 11th, 1953, directed by Jose Ferrer and starring Walter Slezak, Jerome Cowan, and Darren McGavin as the "Angels," and ran for 344 performances. It was brought to the big screen in 1955 as We're No Angels, with Michael Curtiz directing, and Humphrey Bogart, Peter Ustinov, and Aldo Ray as the three unlikely heroes.
