SIMPLY THE BEST: The Music of Tina Turner

She’s sold over 100 million records. She won twelve Grammy Awards. She was the first black artist — and the first woman — to be on the cover of Rolling Stone. For over fifty-six years she was hailed as rock music’s leading female voice and was twice inducted into the Rock ’n Roll Hall of Fame.

While her songs have broken records around the world her life represents one of music’s greatest comebacks and one of the world’s most powerful survival stories. She is an icon, a legend, an inspiration, and a survivor.

“Simply the Best: A Tribute to Tina Turner” brings together a cast of celebrated voices, including two-time Grammy Award winner Tamika Lawrence and Broadway’s Shaleah Adkisson, to honor of one of music’s most legendary superstars. Rock out to “Proud Mary,””River Deep, Mountain High,””Private Dancer,””Better Be Good to Me,” and more as we celebrate one of the greatest voices the world has ever known.
