Previews: TURN THE PAGE, A CABARET BY FRANCESCA AMARI at Palm Springs Cultural Center
Saturday, May 23, 2026 at 7 p.m.
Francesca Amari — whose cabaret work has taken her to acclaimed venues across the country and who is slated to make her Lincoln Center debut — brings her newest solo show, “Turn the Page: A wink, a song & the next great chapter…” to the Palm Springs Cultural Center TheatreTwo on Saturday, May 23, 2026 at 7 p.m.
Part concert and part personal reflection, Turn the Page is a witty, poignant and deeply relatable evening inspired by the realization that life’s later chapters can still hold reinvention, adventure and joy.
The idea for the show began with a simple but startling thought: “So… this is the beginning of the final stretch.” Rather than approaching that realization with fear or nostalgia, Amari transforms it into an evening filled with humor, honesty, music and connection.
Inspired by the spirit of Bob Seger’s iconic anthem, the show explores who we become through life’s twists, triumphs and unexpected detours. Through stories, laughter and an eclectic songbook spanning rock and roll, pop oldies, jazz standards and hidden musical gems, Amari invites audiences to reflect on their own journeys while embracing what comes next.
Known for emotionally rich storytelling and powerhouse vocals, Amari has built a loyal following through performances that blend jazz, Broadway, Motown, pop standards and musical theatre into an engaging and emotionally resonant experience. She has appeared at premier cabaret venues including Birdland Jazz Club, 92nd Street Y, Catalina Jazz Club, The Gardenia and The Purple Room, while also cultivating a strong local audience through her popular Cocktails & Cabaret series at the Palm Springs Cultural Center.
Beyond the stage, Amari has taught and directed theatre at Musical Theatre University and works extensively as an audiobook director. She is also recognized for acclaimed tribute productions including Different Drum: The Music of Linda Ronstadt and You Make Me Laugh: A Love Song to Gilda Radner.
As BroadwayWorld noted:
“Amari is in a league of her own when it comes to the art form (of cabaret) and she tells Linda Ronstadt’s story with panache, wit, reverence and reverie.”
At its heart, Turn the Page is a celebration of resilience, reinvention and the courage to keep moving forward — no matter what chapter comes next.
