Palm Springs audiences may remember Billy L’Amour from her “boom boom, clear the room” performance as Hedy LaRue in Revolution Stage Company’s 2024 production of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. Now, L’Amour brings that same theatrical voltage to Billy L’Amour & The Love Notes, a new monthly live-band residency premiering at Spirit Animal Supper Club on Friday, May 22, 2026 at 7 p.m.
Backed by a full live jazz band under the musical direction of pianist and arranger Kurt Jordan, Billy L’Amour & The Love Notes blends classic cabaret, live concert energy, sharp comedy, and old-school supper club intimacy. The evening features an eclectic repertoire spanning Amy Winehouse, Lady Gaga, Edith Piaf, Donna Summer, jazz standards, Broadway favorites, and unexpected pop reinventions.
Known for internationally acclaimed live-singing drag performances, a background in ballet and theatre, and a signature mix of Old Hollywood glamour and razor-sharp wit, L’Amour has become a familiar presence on Palm Springs stages. Critics have praised the performer’s commanding Stage Presence and vocal ability, with Stage and Cinema writing that “Billy L’Amour doesn’t just take the stage — she claims it,” calling the performer “vocally stunning, effortlessly funny, and magnetic to watch.”
The residency also introduces audiences to one of downtown Palm Springs’ newest entertainment venues. Located inside Hotel ZOSO, Spirit Animal Supper Club combines elevated dining, live music, retro glamour, and immersive nightlife into a modern supper club experience.
“This show is really about bringing people together through live music and spectacle,” says Billy L’Amour. “There’s something magical about hearing these songs performed live in an intimate room where anything can happen.”
