Riverside Theatre presents the Tony Award-winning musical A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder from January 9 to February 1, 2026. This comedy follows Monty Navarro, played by Jake Levy, who learns he is ninth in line to inherit a family title and fortune, but must eliminate eight eccentric relatives, portrayed entirely by Dan DeLuca. Directed by Hunter Foster, the show features a witty score and clever storytelling set in Edwardian England, promising a mix of humor and thrilling mischief. Other cast members include Mary Kate Moore as Sibella Hallward and Lauren Medina as Phoebe D’Ysquith.

Riverside Theatre strengthens the cultural fabric of Iowa City through intimate, engaging productions from classics to new works, fostering a deeper appreciation for the dramatic arts. As a non-profit, 501 (c)(3) organization, we’re largely supported by contributors—50% of our income comes from contributions and sponsorships. We employ a year-round staff of seven, and within each season we employ over 100 artists. Riverside Theatre is governed by a volunteer board of directors.
