Orlando Shakespeare Theatre Hosts the First Equity Staged Reading of SEASONS, 8/8

The writing team of Elaine Pechacek and Katie Hammond are presenting an Equity Staged Reading of their second musical, SEASONS, August 8, 2011 at 8:00pm at the Orlando Shakespeare Theatre Studio B with an open reception immediately following. The cast features the talented Summer Aiello, Jacob McAlister and Rebecca Fisher. Admission is free.

SEASONS follows the lives of two couples during the time frame of one year. You will be allowed to see the interactions of a mother, who has just been diagnosed with breast cancer manage her life along with her adult daughter who is getting married. You will then bare witness to a young man and woman who have just found out they're pregnant after a one night stand and are now deciding how to move forward with a new baby and a new relationship. The summation of these four characters in the end will leave you breathless and forever changed. Don't miss this opportunity to be a part of the first audience to see the show in it's entirety!

SEASONS, in August of 2010, was presented as a concert performance showcasing the first 10 songs ever written for the musical. In September, 2010, the pair were invited to participate in a new composer showcase, with The NY Theatre Barn, where several songs from SEASONS were featured. In February of 2011, SEASONS was selected with an abridged version being performed at the Oklahoma City University Stripped Festival. Later that same month Hammond and Pechacek performed a set of their music including selections from SEASONS, to a sold-out crowd at The Duplex Theatre in Manhattan. In April, 2011, "Don't Take For Granted", a song from SEASONS was performed at ETC's Big Fat Concert Series, in Dayton, OH.
