Mad Cow Theatre has announced the cast and creative team for its upcoming run of James Joyce's The Dead, music by Shaun Davey, book & lyrics by Richard Nelson, set to open December 5, 2014 in The Harriett as part of Season 18.

It is Christmas, 1904 in Dublin and snow is falling over all of Ireland. This does not stop guests from attending the party given by the Misses Morkans. Sisters Julia and Kate are music teachers and their annual holiday party is always a great musical affair. Everyone they know attends - members of the family, friends and even the occasional musical celebrity who happens to be visiting Dublin. For thirty years they have given their party, and for thirty years everyone sang and everyone danced!

Adapted from James Joyce's literary masterpiece Dubliners, this intimate play with music portrays a homespun, Yuletide party with Irish music, dancing, food, drink, and good fellowship. Join us for this award-winning holiday production full of life and love, tears and laughter.
