A JEW GROWS IN BROOKLYN Comes to Parker Playhouse, 3/29-4/1

A JEW GROWS IN BROOKLYN takes the stage at the Parker Playhouse for five shows March 29th-April 1st.

A smash hit from the heart of Broadway, where it played for more than a year and a half, A JEW GROWS IN BROOKLYN is a musical comedy about the search for identity and meaning, chronicling the life of Jake Ehrenreich, an American-born child of Holocaust survivors.

A JEW GROWS IN BROOKLYN is performed with a live band and features multi-media videos and photos. Through stories, comedy and music – including a classic rock medley (“California Dreamin’,” “Secret Agent Man” and “Sunshine of Your Love”), a multi-instrumental version of Louis Prima’s “Sing, Sing, Sing” and even a selection of Yiddish songs – Ehrenreich recreates his unforgettable journey of discovery and lessons learned.

Ehrenreich’s story has spawned a book by the Chicken Soup for the Soul publishers called A Jew Grows in Brooklyn, the Curious Reflections of a First Generation American and a television documentary to be released later this year.

Performances for A JEW GROWS IN BROOKLYN run Thursday March 29th-Saturday March 31st at 8pm, with matinees Saturday March 31st and Sunday April 1st at 2pm.
