Wanda L. Bass School of Music is thrilled to open their 2018 fall season with the production of “SIDE SHOW,” a musical with book and lyrics by Bill Russell and music by Henry Krieger.
Join us as we travel back in time to 1930’s Vaudeville, complete with a cast of characters collectively known as “FREAKS,” whose inner beauty is hidden beneath their unusual, often misunderstood exteriors. Judged harshly by their audiences, and even more so by themselves, “SIDE SHOW” relays the true story of conjoined twins, Daisy and Violet Hilton. Although connected at the hip, the twins’ hearts, minds and desires are pulled in two very different directions in their attempts to fulfill their individual dreams.
