World Stage Theatre Company to Present TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD

World Stage Theatre Company will close its season with TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD by Harper Lee, dramatized by Christopher Sergel. The production will run June 19–28, 2026 at the Tulsa Performing Arts Center in the Liddy Doenges Theatre.

Directed by David Blakely, the production tells the story of Scout Finch and her father, Atticus Finch, as he defends a Black man falsely accused of a crime in the racially divided American South. Through Scout’s perspective, the play examines prejudice, justice, empathy, and moral courage.

The cast includes Larry Cochran as Mr. Gilmer, Cornelius Johnson as Tom Robinson, Kathryn Hartney as Jean Louise, Russell Mills as Walter Cunningham, Lucus Levy Keppel as Atticus, Oti-Lisa Brown as Calpurnia, Timothy Hunter as Judge Taylor, Billie Sue Thompson as Mrs. Dubose, Liz Masters as Maudie Atkinson, Tami Sue Ellis as Stephanie Crawford, Ben Morgan as Bob Ewell, Troy Knauls as Reverend Sykes, Andy Axewell as Heck Tate, Quinn Blakely as Boo Radley, Jay Riggins as Dill, D'mi Johnson as Scout, Brenna Crook as Mayella Ewell, Andrew Smith as Nathan Bradley, Dionne Michelle as Helen Robinson, and Josiah Hoffman as Jem.

Published in 1960, TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD earned Harper Lee the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction and remains one of the most widely read works in American literature. Lee later received the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2007 for her contributions to literature.
