Carpenter Square Theatre Presents LOVE LOSS AND WHAT I WORE, 5/13-6/4

By:

A perfect event for ladies to share with their mothers or best friends, the play is a scrapbook of stories and scenes, and the glue that holds them together are articles of clothing that illustrate a memory or spark a reaction. Particular clothing, such as a first bra, prom dresses, wedding dresses, boots, a lost favorite shirt, the detested, disorganized purse, and the ever fashionable little black dress, prompt the women to share their intimate and often hilarious experiences concerning the most important things in life - mothers, fathers, lovers, husbands, sisters, best friends, children and grandchildren.

For the Carpenter Square production, Rhonda Clark directs a powerhouse cast of five area actresses: Vikki Simer, Linda McDonald, Renee' Preftakes, Billie Nash and TooToo Cirlot.

Nora and Delia Ephron based "Love, Loss and What I Wore" on the book with the same name by Ilene Beckerman. The Ephron sisters often collaborate on projects and are both highly successful writers and producers. Nora is best-known for such films as "When Harry Met Sally," "Sleepless in Seattle," "You've Got Mail," "Silkwood," "Heartburn," and most recently, "Julie and Julia." Delia's screenplays include "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants," "Bewitched," and "You've Got Mail." She has published numerous children's books, the most recent being "Frannie in Pieces" and "Big City Eyes."

LOVE, LOSS AND WHAT I WORE will be staged at the Bricktown Hotel and Convention Center, which is located at 2001 E. Reno at the intersection of Reno and Martin Luther King. The venue has easy highway access. Theatergoers may exit I-40 at Eastern/M.L. King and proceed north on M.L. King. The Bricktown Hotel and Convention Center is the first business on the east side of the street. Full bar services will be available for patrons to enjoy prior to the performance and at intermission.

To order tickets, please call: (405) 232-6500.
