The Crack-Up at The Tank NYC

The Club Creates (Rhett Goldman, Artistic Director; Abigail Brittle and Sabina Arcila, Co-Executive Directors) has announced its upcoming workshop production of Addison Vaughn’s new play The Crack-Up, directed by Sabina Arcila.

The company will feature Becca Berlind, Abigail Brittle (“Everything Sucks,” “Schooled”), Lucy Honor Lewis, Ansel Mills, Ava Paloma (“Law & Order: Organized Crime,” “The Blacklist”), and Thomas Vorsteg.

The Crack-Up will feature scenic design by Jojo Knott, lighting design by Sarah Baileigh, and sound design by B. Carty. Intimacy coordination by Mia Herrera-Prokop. Production management by Latrel Thompson. Below is a brief synopsis of the show:

Frankie is a f*ck-up. She dropped out of college; she got fired from Dunkin Donuts; her mom kicked her out and banished her to her annoyingly successful older sister’s place. Things are not looking great for Frankie…until she meets John. John is a charming, seemingly put-together-but-not-annoying-about-it 20-something from Chicago with an apparently enlarged testicle and an even larger heart. To endear him, Frankie lies about her life and pretends to be her older sister, Alex. As their friendship progresses and Frankie gets increasingly tangled in her own web of lies, she must grapple with the toll her actions have on the people around her.

The Crack-Up will officially open on Thursday, October 22nd on the 56-seat theater stage at The Tank NYC (312 W 36th St., New York, NY 10018). Single tickets are available through The Tank’s website. For information on available discounts, email theclubcreates@gmail.com.
